New Line: Johnson Motors, Inc.

We're all pretty excited about the new line of men's t-shirts by Johnson Motors, Inc. They may be intended for men but that hasn't stopped the ladies from buying them for themselves!

The company started in Pasadena in 1937, importing motorcycles. In less than four years they had become a huge success, becoming the #1 distributor of Triumph, Ariel and Indian Motorcycles in Los Angeles.

Their winged wheel logo symbol is based on the mythical winged-messenger Mercury. Used since the earliest days of motoring, the winged wheel symbolizes speed and safety-fast. We have a couple versions of this logo: the Winged Wheel T-shirt and the JMI Outfitters T-shirt.
