Urban Minx welcomes new designer Annie and Jade. We are in love with their gorgeous dresses and rompers. They offer a verity of styles to take you from day to formal wear in luxurious materials like silk and hemp. The look is feminine with draping, layered ruffling, and bright colors. Another bonus for this designer, it's all made in the USA.

Spotted: Fifteen Twenty on Top Chef

Top Chef is definitely up there as one of my favorite shows and Padma Lakshmi is a part of that. I love seeing what she's wearing almost as much as I love seeing what they're going to make (and wishing I could eat some of it). On the Making Concessions episode she wore a beautiful Fifteen Twenty piece, the Smocked Ruffle Top in White. It was probably better that she wore this for the judging portion of the episode because wearing white silk while eating is quite a delicate matter. There is also a Lime version of this top, which is bright and amazing and I bet would look amazing on Padma. Another beautiful Fifteen Twenty top, the Cascade Top in Orchid, is a sleeveless button down version. The Orchid color is truly exquisite.

Today we're celebrating the new line we love named Theme. Beautiful, affordable pieces with stylish lines and interesting details. The Wrap Dress in Charcoal is a lovely, simple dress in a super soft fabric and flattering cut. The Silk Ruffle Shirt in Cream is expensive looking without the actual expense. A perfect basic with amazing detail is the Studded Wrap Jacket in Charcoal.

Ruffle Revival

Zoe Saldana

Rising star Avatar actress Zoe Saldana was seen stepping out in this purely romantic ruffled piece. Pairing the dress with nude stilettos and lips painted red, Zoe looks nothing short of a silver screen siren.

As much as we love this look, ruffles don't always have to be all hearts and flowers. Pair your ruffles with leather and studs for an edgier look, and to avoid going too girly, opt for shirts and dresses that only have ruffles on the shoulders.

Romance Revived

Romantic ruffles sashayed their way down the catwalk all throughout London Fashion Week’s spring/summer shows. Attendees could be forgiven for thinking they were part of a fairytale story as feminine, floating fabrics passed them by. Most notable were the triple tiered skirts that made an appearance of several of the week’s top designers’ shows.

UrbanMinx is simply loving the structured volume that well placed ruffles can create. They’re great at adding visual volume where you want it. Tiny tiers of ruffles will do wonders to enhance slim hips or a small bust. Whether you wear them outrageously oversized or simply subtle, ruffles will add a flouncy feminine touch to your look.
