Skirts and Graphic Tees!

Juicy Couture Ballerina Perfume Top
Blaque Label Twill Full Skirt

We love the idea of taking a supper girly piece, like a full skirt, and pairing it with a graphic tee.

Its any easy way to add feminine flare to a basic tee or dress down a statement skirt.

The best part of this look, its as effortlessly as cool and easy to put together as it looks!

Highly Waisted

In the past few years we've seen a return of the high waist skirt and trouser- a look many are on the fence about. But when thoughtfully paired with the right top, shoes (maybe simple flats), and accessories, this look is not just a blast from the past, but a fashion forward statement that will surely catch eyes. Try a simple tank, like Lauren Conrad, if you are sporting a bold color. For simpler high waisted pieces, like the Shelby Tulip Skirt in Black from Michael Stars, go for a fun blouse and statement jewelry.
Tell us your thoughts on the high waisted look!

Summer Business Looks

With rising temperatures this summer it may be hard to find a good work look that keeps you looking professional as well as cool. Here are a few looks that will do both for you.

A nice tailored dress is always an easy business look. Try this Sweetheart Dress in brown by
ABS. Remember to keep the length no higher then the knee and nothing to low cut.

For a more relaxed flowing look try our Nougat Skirt in Cream with raffia. Pair this with a simple light weight cardigan with cami underneath such as our Nougat V-Neck Cardigan in Dust Pink. This look is also great for creating curves for the lower half of the body.

Choose blouses that are light weight and flowing. This blouse by Fifteen Twenty in orchid is great for work and for warmer weather. The ruffled effect in front act as its own accessory. Keep in mind width of straps, they should be no smaller then an inch, and nothing to revealing.

Michael Stars: Double Duty

Each and every summer my favorite piece from my closet that I cannot live without is the double duty tube. I wear it as a dress and a skirt, sometimes even in the same day. It's a perfect layering piece that makes it easy to adjust to the temperature. We have quite a few already.
Three of my favorites are by Michael Stars: One is
The Jersey Tiered Maxi Skirt in Slate, also available in Black and (following the huge military trend) Camo. Another great simple shorter version made in their Shine fabric: The Tube Dress and Skirt in Black, Deep Sea and Cola. For a lighter, striped tube try the Striped Empire Dress in Passport.
If you're still looking for something different, perhaps with more texture, I love Splendid's Cotton Gauze Tube in Coal.
Give yourself a bit of a break and let your wardrobe do double duty for you!
