Hi Lo: Emilio Pucci & Bailey 44

There is absolutely nothing low about this exquisite Bailey 44 Merquez Dress in Zebra print, it is a really beautiful dress with great fit for a seriously great price of $152.

As amazing as the Emilio Pucci printed black and white abstract dress is from net-a-porter, I just don't think that $1,950 is worth it. I know, I know...it's a high fashion designer, etc etc...but I'm sticking with Bailey 44 on this one.

Hi Lo: Jimmy Choo and Frye

The illustrious Jimmy Choo is one of the most desired names in shoes around...and for good reason, the shoes are amazing and sexy and beautiful.

The price is unfortunately, a bit out of my range, so I go in search of lower priced alternatives and was happy to find a much less expensive version of the Leather biker boots from another famous for all the right reasons brand, Frye. The Veronica Slouch Boot is a bit taller but definitely similar in style. Happily Frye boots are also known for their good quality, durability in addition to their amazing styles and good taste.

If you can afford Jimmy Choo, I enviously say go for it! But the Frye boot stands strong on it's own and instead of paying $1,050 you can save yourself quite a lot of cash and have the Veronica boot for only $328.

Hi Lo: Gold Swan

As much as I love perusing net-a-porter online it's not very often I can find something I can afford.

The beautiful new Aurelie Bidermann gold swan feather necklace and earrings are amazing and lovely, but I am not spending $2,000 plus to own them. Luckily we have our own less expensive (but still fabulous) version from Monserat de Lucca in brass the color of luxurious gold.

The earrings are only $39 and the necklace a mere $43!

A total steal to look fabulous. Beware these items are not for the faint of heart as they can be a bit pointy, but hey, sometimes looking fierce can be worth it! And in this case it is most certainly worth it.

Hi Lo: Balenciaga & Tulle

I have always loved Balenciaga. Amazing, beautiful designs season after season.

Their pre-fall 2011 collection was framed by a floral wallpaper that with some of the floral styles reminded me of the scene from Garden State where Zach Braff stands in front of the bathroom mirror looking at himself in a floral print shirt that matches the wall behind him and nearly disappears.

I love the bright plum purple Balenciaga coat pictured here and was happy to discover that we have a very similar version by Tulle, the Vintage Wool Peacoat in Loganberry which is now on sale for just $55.

Hi Lo: Burberry Prorsum & Velvet

Spending $3,595 on a jacket isn't one of the most practical things you can do...so if you find something you LOVE like this Burberry Prorsum Animal-print rabbit jacket on netaporter what is a girl to do!?

Hi Lo : Yven If I Can't Afford It

Who doesn't LOVE Yves Saint Laurent?  I most certainly do, and would love to have these Divine Peep Toes from netaporter.com, but there is no way I am spending $795 on them.




Luckily we just received a pair of similar heeled peep toes from Apepazza, the Lisbona Heel in Black for only $149.

Both are great, urban shoes for a sexy, confident woman.  The Apepazza shoe is a great price for high style, and keeps you a fit more likely to stay on your feet (I love that sharp Yves heel, but it scares me a bit, honestly).  Shop Apepazza and more shoes at Urban Minx now!  *aw

Hi Lo : For the City and the Stables

We love Equestrian style, and the one thing that is quintessentially Equestrian is a good riding boot.  Maison Martin Margiela's Knee High Leather Boots are sleek and classic enough to be welcome both in the city and the stables.  I would love to be able to shell out $1,040 for boots, but alas, I cannot. 

Frye boots are amazing and well made, and so I was delighted to see their Melissa Button Boot in Black is a great alternative!  Especially at only $325.  This version is even a bit more horse friendly, with the rounded top edge and details.
