2011 Trend Spotting: Oxfords

Last fall I fell in love with the oxford trend but wasn't sure if it was just a crush that would pass and I would be left with a pair of shoes I never wore....since then my love of oxfords has only grown and I am kicking myself for not procuring a pair for myself already. Now I am on the hunt and luckily we just received some new Nicole oxfords in.

Celebrities definitely adore their oxfords and it's interesting to see the different ways they choose to wear them. Of course Katy Perry takes hers up a notch by being bright blue, but I love the simple and elegant way Katie Holmes wears both her black pair (with leggings) and tan pair (with rolled up boyfriend jeans). Blake Lively's version of the oxford is uptown while Rosario Dawson's is definitely downtown. Both look fabulous. Sienna Miller provides the London oxford look while Whitney Port gives the style a youthful, fun punch.

Celebrity Style: Blake Lively in Rich & Skinny

One of my favorite young actresses, Blake Lively, has notoriously good taste in fashion, so it was hardly surprising that she has been spotted wearing a hip new line of jeans by the name of Rich and Skinny. The fit is terrific and they truly are a flattering jean (you don't have to be Blake Lively to look amazing in them). One of her favorites, and ours too, is the Legacy Skinny Jean in Rinse. Minx Muse: Blake Lively

This week we're drawing inspiration from Gossip Girl and style icon Blake Lively.

Both Blake and her character are always dressing to be the epitome of East Coast chic, and we think the image above captures that look perfectly.

Boho with just a bit of attitude, Blake has paired a relaxed white tee with a contrasting cropped vest.

In comes the edge with a dark bag detailed with a chain accent and a pair of dark washed denim skinnies. And those brown ankle booties are that just right mix of fun and fabulous.
