Street Inspiration

With this year's spring trends, the biggest and the best are all about contrast. Prints that couldn't possibly have gone together before are now paired with enthusiasm, bright colours are placed with pastels for extra pop, and lace is mingling with leather.

Color-bleed ombre is gearing up to be one of the top trends for spring. A far cry from tie-dye, these graduated hues are chic and slimming and just the right hint of color to wake up neutrals.

Pretty in Plum

The spring runways can always be trusted to put forth a vivid vestige, but for each season, there's one shade in particular which stands out among the rest. The spring couleur de la saison is a ripe purple. Favored by names like Ferretti and Cavalli, the shade can range from a regal plum to a less-than-shrinking violet.

Purple is a colour not often seen in nature and so instantly draws the eye. Despite the unnatural nature of the hue, it compliments every skintone. It's hard to miss, sight or stylewise.
