Trend Alert: Sizing Up

In the late nineties loose jeans were the unfortunate mode, but we've found the newest oversized trend is something worth keeping!

Larger than life tees and tops are flooding the fashion circuits en force, often paired with  dark skinnies and equally slender footwear for a contrasting but balanced look.

With this look comes an air of distinct attitude, enhanced by the frequent rocker themes incorporated into the trend.

Street Inspiration

With this year's spring trends, the biggest and the best are all about contrast. Prints that couldn't possibly have gone together before are now paired with enthusiasm, bright colours are placed with pastels for extra pop, and lace is mingling with leather.

Pictured above is a young woman snapped while walking in front of the Paris spring/summer shows. Her trim leather coat stands in stark contrast to the swingy bohemian style of her fringed dress. Her patent purse and sweetly patterned tights are sending some mixed signals too, but it's all carefully cohesive despite seemingly eclectic vibe.
