The promise of warm weather on the horizon has us impatiently counting the days to be able to wear our spring trend buys. But spring is not without it difficulties when it comes to planning your outfit for the day. If you are like me, you have already been caught leaving work in a skirt in a down pour with the morning gave prelude of a perfect spring day. instead of being stuck in the winter wear for another month, here are a few ways to work them in during the unstable weather months.

Always bring a light jacket or cardigan! They're easily able to fit in a large purse. And it's better to have a little room taken up in your bag than to be stuck in the cold without a cover-up.

The only thing bad about the wide leg trend, is getting caught in the rain. If their is even a slight chance of rain chose the cropped trend to avoid drenched legs.

Military Cardigans

As the leaves start changing colors we start rotating the clothes in our closet, and a few things that are coming out right now are our military inspired cardigans. Soft, sweater knits with enough heft to beat back the cold and a serious dose of attitude, these cardigans are battling off Winter chills while making you look chic and sexy!

We're loving Kensie's new Fuzzy Cotton Cardigan in Black because of its zipper and button decals, and with a luscious material you'll want to stay wrapped up in it all season long. Another favorite of ours is the Cadet Sweater Coat in Black by Yoana Baraschi. It has all the attitude of a jacket, but it's made in a supple sweater material and comes complete with bow and button decals. This is definitely a romantic adaptation of the military style and perfect for the girl who wants to display her femininity. Finally, we want to showcase the Striped Military Cardigan in Heather and Black by Juicy Couture because it has it all-- the cute, fun side of military while still maintaining some edginess with its buttons.

Brand New Line : Central Park West

One of of the coolest new lines for fall is Central Park West.

We adore the Feather Sweater Dress in Pepper at left and my favorite piece is the Pyramid Stud Cardigan below. Both have an element of simple, classic design that is then swiftly made amazing with surprising details that knock it out of the park and into my heart.

Another modern take on a cardigan that is terribly cool, the Cascades Zip Cardigan, showing that zippers aren't just for function! Somehow bridges the gap between edgy and elegant.
