It's the time to start thinking of ways to show the people you care about how much they mean to you! Here are a few gift ideas to make it a bit easier. I know it can be a bit of a daunting task. A good starting point is to find out if you don't already know what they are interested in. Do they love butterflies? Are they a David Bowie or Beatles fan? If they're a Legend in London and a Hollywood Bigshot you can't not get them E.Vil's Legend Tee. Do they wear animal print on a regular basis? A great gift for a hip, modern woman who follows trends is a military inspired item.

Want to give a gift that says I love you or something more romantic with a touch of lace? Or you can show them you care and want to keep them warm and cozy with a coat, scarf or hat. However you decide to do it, don't forget to let the people in your life know you care about them!

Double Button, Double Fun!

With cold weather coming around the corner, it's important for a Minx to have her closet well stocked with cute jackets, so that's where the outerwear section comes in handy! The must-have for the Fall and Winter season is double-breasted jackets, a style that's classic, cute and especially warm. If you're looking for a more utilitarian jacket then the Faded Modern Magic Jacket in Dark Grey by Kensie is a good option. Staff Pick: Wax On

Staff pick for this week goes to Urban Minx staff manager James, who has taken a shine to this New Waxy Overshirt from bellicose brand G-Star.

Here at UrbanMinx headquarters in Oregon the the ski season is in full swing, and James loves the water-resistant protection the Waxy Overshirt provides as well as the lightweight warmth. The sharp-looking military cut is nothing to complain about, either.

Coated in Colours

The wet spring season is dreary enough without adding to it with a dull wardrobe. There's no denying that the black coat is a classic, but the the most coveted styles of late are all about colour.

Consider that your coat is likely to be the only thing people will see of your ensemble when you're out and about in the damp, and so it makes perfect sense that your outerwear should make the same statement as the rest of your oufit.

UrbanMinx offers a wide array of coats in rich jewel tones and alluring brights. Shop the shades of the season in outerwear at UrbanMinx!

Kristen Stewart Under Cover

New Moon sensation Kristen Stewart kicked off the screening of her already-cult film this Thursday in New York.

The weather was a bit wintry for the Valentino frock beneath, but Kirsten kept it hot with this classic knee-length belted trench.

Far from diminishing the ensemble, the black coat adds a New York edge complimented by her stacked patent pumps in a tonal shade.

Runway Rockstars

One of our favorite fashion week shows to look forward to this fall was the G-Star New York spring/summer presentation. The edgy netherland-based brand can always be counted on to give it their all in an avant garde display that has included stage elements like conveyor belts and trampolines in the past.

This year was no different with a futuristic spread reminiscent of Star Trek, though the clothes were pretty on par with the times. There were of course the signature G-Star cuts - very military and functional in a way that most runway shows can't manage, but there were also styles present which lent a look that could only be described as retro-futuristic. Looks that would have been at home in the fifties strolled across the runway with a streamlined modern makeover.

G-Star also stepped away from their usually dark palette to pepper in some clean white and inky blue shades. Overall, the change was a welcome one. We love G-Star for the bellicosity of the brand, but this is spring and summer line we're talking about, right?

Proof is in the Pattern

In stark and welcome contrast to last winter's washed out whites and edgy, minimalist darks, this coming season's styles are an absolute roar of colour. Reminiscent of whichever eras you might attach the world 'golden,' the runways have turned flashy with a flood of pattern-rich shades.

More noticeable is the shift from the simple classic coat to its bright new cousin - detailed with anything from pretty lemon plaids to modish spots. A personal favorite is the flashback coat, cut in a relaxed vintage fit and printed in posh 60s shades.

If high-saturation hues don't tickle your fancy, the more traditional monochromes remain with a bit of a twist. For an updated look try a fun lined look or some high society houndstooth.
